Update
The carrier's management have been advised that the best course of action is to roll fiber back to the original cable in order to restore services. At this time we are pending arrival of a new splice crew at 13:00 13/12/2020 as the previous crew has exhausted their daily work allotment and must take required time off.

Update
The carrier's engineers have advised that they located some cable damage on the new 96f fiber cable which was used for this planned work. They are currently in the process of reaching out to determine the best plan of action to move forward with restoration of services. They advise there is no ETR.

Scheduled
Our fibre carrier between our Manchester and Wolverhampton sites is attempting to introduce a joint into the OTN to avoid a bridge (Nr Stafford) which is being demolished. During this period we will only be operating N redudancy not N+1. All traffic will reroute via alternative paths albeit at slightly higher latency. We're not expecting an outage, this is just an at risk notice.
